Born in 1960 in Kowalewo Pomorskie. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun. He received his diploma with honors in the easel painting studio under Prof. Mieczyslaw Wisniewski in 1985.
He currently works as a full professor and runs a graduate studio in the specialty of easel painting.
